Our Community Arts Education Program

For nearly 15 years, Saratoga Arts has been dedicated to offering quality fine art and fine craft classes, taught by regional artists, to students of all ages and at all artistic levels. In that time we’ve grown our program to its current capacity, where it now serves over 950 students a year and works with nearly 50 art teachers.

Located in the Arts Center at 320 Broadway in Saratoga Springs, Saratoga Arts has several fine arts classrooms, a weaving studio, a 110-seat theater, two gallery spaces and a darkroom. We have on occasion, when our facilities can not accommodate a class, offered classes off-site as well.

The Saratoga Springs Walmart proudly supports the 2017-2018 Saratoga Arts' Education Program.

Summer Camps

Saratoga Arts offers five camp programs throughout the summer.  Each offers a unique summer camp experience for children who love to learn about and create art.  Taught by a faculty with over three decades of teaching experience, we stive to provide a safe, comfortable, arts-learning environment where our campers can truly enjoy art and the art-making process.

Located on the corner of Broadway and Spring Street in downtown Saratoga Springs, The Arts Center is situated in historic Congress Park.  Whenever we are able (weather and project permitting of course) we use the park as inspiration for our paintings and drawings, as an outdoor stage for our acting lessons, as a relaxing environment for our reading camp, and we even often enjoy lunch and snacks in the park.

Have you seen our Camp Parent PackOur Summer Camp Parent Pack contains lots of information parents may find helpful as they decide if our camp program is right for their family.  The Parent Pack contains sections on FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS, our policy THERE IS NO ROOM FOR BULLYING IN THE ARTS as well as a section that walks parents through our POLICY AND PROCEDURES for children with severe food allergies.

Saratoga Arts TEEN ARTS program was developed as the “next step” for our Camp Creativity campers, or as a “first step” for teens and tweens who enjoy art and art-making and thrive in an informal environment where they can work at their own pace and shape lessons based on their own aesthetic.

Projects will be multi-day, multi-lesson projects and will encourage students to re-imagine artwork by developing and refining their own artistic styles.  This program is only available for the two weeks listed.  Children between 12 -14 are welcome to participate in any week/session of our Arts Center Children’s Theater Program or our Camp Creativity programs, as well.
