“Upstate America” by documentary photographer Richard Cavagnolo will be opening at The Gallery at The Capital Repertory Theater on September 27th and will run through October 29th. The show features two separate bodies of work. “Hidden Rules” explores poverty and homelessness in our region and “Confessions of Time in Upstate America” which documents older towns in our region through the genres of portraiture and landscape. An opening reception is planned for October 7th from 5-7 pm. You can find out more about Richard Cavagnolo and his work at www.rcavagnolo.com.

Storyteller Kate Dudding www.KateDudding.com was a finalist in the 2019 Grand Slam at the National Storytelling Summit in Fremont, CA. You can watch the story she told here: https://bit.ly/ 2ynrAz2 


Dorothy Englander “Then & Now: Journey”. After nearly 40 years since her first solo exhibit at the Ambany Center Gallery, Dorothy Englander, exhibits work from every decade of her life in this solo show. From her early works to more recent pieces, Englander has explored themes of biollogy, personal experience, and memories in whimsical, playful and abstract ways across various mediums. September 6- October 4, 2019. Exhibition reception: Friday September 6 from 5pm – 8pm. The public is also invited to an artist talk on September 19 from 6pm – 7:30pm.

Gary Larsen will be part of a 4-artist show at the LARAC Lapham Gallery from August 16 through September 18. He will be showing 19 B&W Infrared Photographs with a theme of various natural features being reflected in water. These prints have been made from images gathered across the US and Canada.

The selected image is called “Fog on Tupper Lake.” The image was published as a two-page spread on pages 22/23 in the April edition of the magazine. He also had 3 infrared photographs juried into the Americana Exhibition as a Digital Entrant in the Pennsylvania Center for Photography in Doylestown, PA.
