Paul Bouchard’s sculpture, ”Pierced # 2″ has been selected for inclusion in the Albany Museum of History and Art’s fundraising auction. The auction will be held on Nov. 6th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Paul also provided artistic support and guidance about east coast casting companies for the bronze plaque that will be part of a new monument at the Saratoga Surrender Site.

Burnt Hills Oratorio Concerts
November 10, 2019 – Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience this stirring choral masterpiece, regarded as Johannes Brahms’ most important work. Sharing the stage with BHOS, at The Spa Little Theater,  will be featured soloists from Opera Saratoga and the Oratorio orchestra.  Join BHOS and featured soloists from Saratoga Opera in the performance of one of the most memorable classic requiems in the intimate setting of The Spa Little Theater. 

Candlelight: A Festival of Carols, December 20, 2019: $25 General | $20 Senior (65 or older) | $15 Ages 13-19 | 12 and Under Free.  Church of the Immaculate Conception | 400 Saratoga Road, Glenville NY 12302. Gather your family and friends for this community festival to herald the Holiday season. Revel in the joy of lifting your voice with others, accompanied by brass, organ, and percussion.

Artist Jill Gruban has en exhibition at Saratoga Coffee Traders for the month of November.

Pernille AEgidius Dake has had her short story, “Preservation” published in Rowen University’s Magazine current issue: Glassworks, Fall #19.  to read her work visit www.rowenglassworks.org.

Chris Levy is presenting an exhibit of pysanky art at the Valley Artisan’s Market small gallery, Nov 1-Nov 24th.  The opening reception is Saturday, Nov 2.   More information can be found at http://valleyartisansmarket.com.

Call for Art:  NCA’s next show, “Rejoice”, will  feature mixed media work by regional artists, and is open to both members and non-members. Drop off: Nov. 2, 1-4 pm. Members fee: $15, non-members $25 – annual Membership is $25.  Artists may submit two 2D works (ready to hang) or up to five 3D pieces. Additional works can be submitted for a fee of $5 each. We are always accepting information for the Members and Opportunities page of our newsletter! Members can submit up to three announcements per newsletter. If you have something you would like us to publish, please fill out the form below.

To be included in the newsletter, content must be received through this form by the 10th of the month prior to the newsletter. Content Deadlines are as follows:

  • Please do not exceed 200 characters. Sample: Gary Larsen has been awarded the Grand Prize in the 2018 Adirondack Life Magazine Photography Contest. The selected image is called “Fog on Tupper Lake.” The image was published as a two-page spread on pages 22/23 in the April edition of the magazine. He also had 3 infrared photographs juried into the Americana Exhibition as a Digital Entrant in the Pennsylvania Center for Photography in Doylestown, PA.
