The Saratoga Arts Performing Arts Fund is a one time regrant program made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA). The initiative is intended to support individual artists and organizations who are creating live art that is accessible to the communities that surround them.

Community Arts Regrants Program

For decades, Saratoga Arts has been proud to serve this region as a New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Statewide Community Regrant (SCR) site, formerly "Decentralization". Over $1.5 million in funding has been distributed to arts projects in Fulton, Montgomery and Saratoga counties though our program. We accept applications in the spring of each year for projects designed for the following year.

Community Arts Projects

Projects that are open to the community they serve and allow the citizens of that community to interact directly with art can apply for Community Arts Grants of up to $5,000 to execute their project. Projects myst be accessible to all and creatively connect community and art.

Arts Education Projects

Projects that focus on educating a closed group of learners, either in school or in a community based setting, can apply for an Arts Education Grant of up to $3,000. These projects consist of "hands on" learning in at least 3 separate sessions to ensure that learners, of any age have exposure to art in a new way.

Individual Artist Projects

Projects that center on the professional growth of an individual artist may be eligible for an Individual Artist Grant of $2,500. These funs can  be used for projects of a sole artist or a lead artist in a collaborative art form. While the community doesn't have to directly participate in the creation of the project, it does need to be presented or made available to the public.
