    Faux Taxidermy: Paper Map Moths

    Love the look of old specimen display cases, or oddity cabinets? Love the art of upcycling, and turning thrifted elements into treasures for years to come? Come join us for a fun experiment in faux taxidermy, using old road maps. Road maps are often printed on a kind of linen/cloth paper, which makes them great for crafting- join us to combine sewing, cutting, gluing, illustrating, framing, and mounting in one satisfying project.

    All materials and tools will be provided for the class.

    Stained Glass Abstract Pride Flag

    taught by Kim O'Rourke


    Learn the basics of stained glass as students create an abstract Pride Flag. Each student will design and create their own piece. No patterns will be used. Each student will access their imaginations!

    Bring gardening gloves, safety glasses, and wear closed toe shoes. All other materials and tools will be provided for the class.

    Abstract Gourd & Bead Lamp

    taught by Timothy Sauter

    You will learn how to make a gourd bird house, starting with cleaning and drilling holes. Then you will use carving and cutting tools. Last, you paint with brushes, sponges and other utensils to carry out your designs.

    All  materials and tools will be provided for the class.

    Intermediate Stained Glass

    taught by Kim O'Rourke


    Advance your stained glass skills in this class. A 6" x 12" window will be created. Each student will also make their own resin geode to add to their piece.


    Please bring safety glasses, gloves and a face make. Closed toed shoes are required. All other materials and tools will be provided for the class.

    Quirky Wooden Uncle Sam

    taught by Cheryl Bielli


    Uncle Sam Wants You... to hang him proudly --or comically-- on your front door or porch. Shaped wooden blank, approximately 18-24 inches tall, will be painted with chalk paint and antiqued with brown wax to bring out Sam's crotchety personality. Wooden nose is glued on before painting to add to the fun. Make a basic version or a more advanced one with extra shading and detail. 

    All materials and tools will be provided for the class.

    Abstract Gourd Animal Container

    taught by Timothy Sauter

    You will create a container inspired by an animal (to use for plants, bowls, snacks, table center piece) from one large gourd and several gourd pieces and other materials. Drilling, carving, scraping, molding, painting, gluing are done. Shellac and other sealers are applied.

    Please bring a printed color image of an animal for a reference. All other materials and tools will be provided for the class.  

    2 session class, Tuesdays, June 18th-25th, 2024 12:00 -3:00 PM
