As an artist, I always strive to create a narrative around every piece of art I
make. The motivation of my work is creating a space that combines visual
intrigue and emotional introspection . I love working with compositions,
and in the majority of my photographic works I tend to utilize a
foundation of basic compositional rules as jumping off points for unique
compositions. Aesthetically, I find that empty space and a lack of subjects
allows the viewer to insert themselves into the environments I
photograph. In my video work, the depth of every frame is the connective
tissue of everything I make, filling the foreground and background
accordingly. Thematically, I strive to create characters from all walks of
life. While inserting aspects of my own life experiences is inevitable,
making these characters relatable to myself and to others is a main focus
of my work.
