Artist Statement
My work is inspired by moments in nature that invite
us to stop and look a little longer—the changing light across water, the warmth
of a landscape, the unexpected brilliance of flowers, or the quiet atmosphere
of a particular season.
Working in acrylic and oil, I use color, light, and
expressive brushwork to interpret the natural world rather than reproduce it
literally. My paintings often begin with places or moments that evoke a feeling
of peace, wonder, or connection. Through the painting process, I explore how
color and light can heighten those emotions and transform an ordinary scene
into something memorable.
Whether painting landscapes, seascapes, or florals, I
am drawn to subjects that offer a sense of beauty and renewal. I hope my
paintings encourage viewers to pause for a moment, experience the atmosphere of
the scene, and perhaps reconnect with their own memories of time spent in
nature.
