Artist Statement

As a painter of landscapes and figurative art, my work is rooted in a confident use of color and an expressive technique that celebrates the physicality of paint. I blend representational imagery with an emotive, textured style—visible brushstrokes and vibrant hues serve not only to capture the subject, but to stir a deeper emotional response.

Themes of purity, innocence, and vulnerability are central to my practice, often contrasted with an underlying sense of quiet strength. Whether I’m painting a figure or a natural scene, I aim to evoke the beauty, fragility, and resilience present in both humanity and the environment.

At its core, my work is a reminder: There are no guaranteed rights for humans or the natural places that sustain us. It’s up to us to ensure they are protected.

Lynn lives and works in Queensbury, NY.
