Artist Statement

As a career artist/painter, I have always preferred painting images of animals and nature, my true lifelong passions. My artistic journey began in the late 70’s and has taken me from painting on clothing for 22 years, painting on skin for 15 years (as a tattoo artist) and now coming full circle back to simply canvas!

What’s new for me is sort of an artistic breakthrough in that for most of my life, I have muted myself and the colors that I only dreamt about using. This collection is a group of paintings that I have wanted to do forever! Fiery red/orange owls and pink/purple ponies are where I am at these days and loving the journey!
