Artist Statement

An opening caveat and disclaimer: Only believe what you yourself feel emotionally, intuitively, and experientially. No one can ever express depth of truth over your own discovery and inner core understanding. Most of what others provide is at best conjecture and at worst deceptive. Trust your inner self.

My pictures and words are simply a representation of my perspective formed from my environment, nurturing, and personal karma. However, it is my intent to provide a positive stimulus of conscious growth.

Art offers the visual opportunity, together with master teachings, to observe the path from clear unity consciousness to manifestation. Understanding of this path helps to move us from suffering toward healing and realization.

Each of us is given qualities and gifts that we strive to bring to fruition as part of our purpose, and as our contribution in the integral connection to all things. Artists have the gifts of: sensitivity, creation, and expression. They often see and feel things others do not. Through their art they bring these beautiful parts of life to those who are ready to see them.

The artist’s awakened senses include: sound for the musician, movement for the dancer, light and shape for the visual artist, and vision, truth, and interpretation for the philosopher and spiritual guide.

We as humans have self-awareness that allows us to make conscious choices and changes providing an infinite expansion of the Divine. Everything is a spiritual experience. We as human beings are physical, mental, and conscious sensor points for the Divine presence. As such our purpose is to fully experience life, to elevate and expand consciousness, and to uplift and strengthen our spirits and that of all others. While in these bodies, and in an awakened state, we may experience the rapture of being alive in all its glory and sorrow. And in this state, we may radiate the vibration of love, the central ingredient of life.

The picture stories I tell in my paintings are meant to provide an emotional experience from two points: 1. The radiance and magic of nature. And 2. Through revealing the energetic component of our lives and the universe. It is hoped that this emotional response will be awakening and provide an uplifting moment for the viewer.
