Artist Statement

Someone viewing one of my paintings not long ago said "I want to live in your art" to me.  Not only was that a welcoming comment for any artist to hear, but that statement made me realize it's exactly what and why I've been creating.  Simply I'm painting anywhere I'd really enjoy being at any point in time; take me there.

Artist Biography

I'm a fine art oil painter with a strong focus on landscapes.

My first experience with oil painting was when I was 13 years old and really loved experimenting with them for a couple years.  After a long hiatus, much older, and now with a different point of view, hundreds of miles trekked through the forests, I've come back to oil painting a renewed enthusiasm and zest to recreate all that my eyes have seen.

Recently I had the joy of experiencing multiple pieces being selected for Juried Art Exhibitions at both the Lake Placid Center for Arts and Adirondack Artists Guild.

When I am not painting, I can be found hiking in the wilderness of the Adirondacks or enjoying the beautiful shores of Maine with my wife.  Anything outdoors.
