Artist Statement

My acceptance of my calling in life to be an eco-artist, in my opinion, is fulfilled through my environmentally friendly work as a painter and seamless with original fashion designs. As an independent painter and fashion designer who utilizes nature in my artwork, I am known to be a creative environmentalist.

Further, as a working girl who has been employed as a co-producer/stage manager of a feminist play production in New York City titled “Internal” in 2004 and who taught K-12 students how to create art in school when I worked as a Tutor with The New York Department of Education during the past ten years, I believe that sharing my passion for making art makes the world a better place.

Meanwhile and nonetheless, I studied painting with a Mathematician/Painter named Dr. Ed Belbruno whose artistic focus is on the scientific principles of nature, and learned to sew from my great-aunt before interning with Antonio D’Amico at New York City’s Fashion Week in 2010.

Finally, it is my greatest hope to get my worldview to the audience through crafting “grounded clothing” through the art of “high sewing” by hand, and painting nature within our milky way Galaxy on canvas.
