    The Photography Collective

    Mentors: Megan Mumford, Molly Cohen

This spring and summer, we invite intermediate level and above photographers to come together to share ideas, inspirations, and give positive constructive feedback to help all of us improve our art, understanding, and vision. Over the course of six evenings, we will work collaboratively to inspire each other technically and creatively. Evenings will center around personal vision, and the creation and sharing of images through thoughtful assignments. We may head out to shoot on location as well!

    Participants must:

    1.    Know how to independently operate their DSLR cameras in manual mode

    2.    Have a working knowledge of Lightroom (or other editing program), with the ability to sort through and edit images to support your personal style.

Sessions will be led by Megan Mumford and/or Molly Cohen. Megan has been a professional photographer and business owner for 25 years and specializes in editorial and commercial portraiture, interiors, and fine art botanical work. Molly has been an educator for over 15 years, and a student of photography for the past 5 years–she enjoys street photography and taking pictures of the people she loves.

Group will meet the following dates from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM:

    June 1, 8, 22, July 27, August 3, 17, 2026

Prior registration is preferred as space is limited.

    Donations kindly accepted.

Finding your digital style with ProCreate

    taught by Jean Ellen Sotansky

Curious about digital art? This fun, four-week class is a great way to get started with Procreate or continue to build your skills.

Students will start off by getting comfortable with the app, learning the tools, brushes, layers, and all the basics needed to start creating. As you progress, you’ll explore more advanced features like selections, transformations, texts and effects that help bring your artwork to life.

In the second half of the class, you’ll work on your own project (like an illustration, logo, or poster) and experiment with different styles and brushes to find what you like. The class will wrap up by polishing your work and learning how to export it for sharing or print.

By the end, you’ll have a finished piece and the confidence to keep creating on your own.

    What you’ll learn:

    • How to navigate Procreate and use its tools
    • Drawing, painting, and working with color
    • Layers, masks, and fun effects
    • How to plan and complete a project
    • How to export your work for digital use or print

Anyone interested in digital art—perfect for beginners!

Students will be required to bring their iPads with the ProCreate app and an Apple Pencil to every class.

    4 session class, Tuesdays, September 15-October 6, 2026, 6:00 PM-9:00 PM
