Artist Statement

This body of work explores the intimate, layered experiences of womanhood through quiet moments, and fragments of everyday nature. Each painting captures a sense of presence- whether it's the delicate act of smelling the nearest flower, or the solitary movement of sitting alone in a room full of color. These scenes, both literal and abstract, reflect the emotional space women navigate, silently, in their daily lives.

At the heart of this collection is the idea of inner life and emotions made visible. The recurring motif of the female figure—sometimes whole, sometimes fragmented, represents the complexity of identity and the ways women are both seen and unseen. The flower paintings serve as metaphors for growth, softness, resilience, and transformation, echoing the themes of emotional labor and self-reflection found in the more figurative works.

Together, these pieces form a quiet narrative about vulnerability, strength, and the nuanced layers of being. They invite viewers to witness small moments that speak volumes—acts of care, solitude, movement, and observation—and to reflect on the invisible threads that shape both a personal and collective experience.
