with Ashley Williams

The students will create advanced creatures  and other animals by combining humans with animal characteristics.  The focus artist is Casey Riordan Millard (Sharkgirl).  This is a great way to expand your imagination while practicing your drawing skills.  All styles of drawing from cartooning to realistic work are complemented by this drawing exercise.

Supplies: paper, pencil, colored pencils/crayons

    • 5-8-year-old
    • Construction paper, glue, tape, scissors
    • Students will learn about the artist, Jade Purple Brown.  Then, students will create their own self-portrait or portrait of a friend or family member inspired by Jade Purple Brown’s artistic style. They will create the portrait with pieces of construction paper, glue and scissors (parent guidance if needed).
