Beginning photography is designed to get students up and running with a full working knowledge of the most important tool in photography: the camera! Digital cameras have introduced a huge number of helpful tools packed into roughly the same size SLR and even smaller mirrorless cameras. We will explore all these functions to make you not only proficient in their use but more importantly in when to use them. We will put these functions to use through a series of practical exercises and projects. In addition to the use of this powerful tool we will explore general artistic compositional guidelines as well. This course is open to those who are new to the medium or just starting. All students should bring with them to class a DSLR or a high end mirrorless camera.
