Saratoga Arts' mission is to enrich the region by
cultivating a vibrant arts community and by
ensuring that the arts are accessible to all.

with Ann Larsen, OPA, AIS, AWAM

Students will be painting in and around Congress Park for this Plein Air in the Park Workshop. If you have been wanting to take your painting to the next level, this class is for you! Emphasis will be on the importance of design and value. Value is the most important aspect of your painting. Get the value right and your colors will be right as well. Finding a subject, simplifying and designing with value will be our focus. Color, brushwork and edges all will be discussed to help strengthen your painting. Demonstrations and individual attention will be given. This will be a fun and informative workshop for those who feel they struggle with outdoor painting. Serious beginner plein air painters to advanced are welcome. Ann will be using oils, but pastel, acrylic or watercolor are welcome as the underlying principles are the same. A complete supply list can be found online.
