OPEN STUDIO : FIGURE DRAWING

The Open Studio sessions offered by Saratoga Arts, are great practice for any artist interested in working from a live model without the formality of a class. Models are partially clothed. Open Studio evenings are community studio sessions where artists can talk about their work, share ideas, and discuss a variety of methods and media. There is no teacher for Open Studio. Sessions are recommended for ages 15 and up. Participants can work in the medium of their choice, but must bring their own supplies. (Minors need parental permission.)

IMPROV COMEDY
Instructor: David Braucher
Professional actor (AEA, AFTRA), master teacher, director brings you this high-energy, hands-on, fast-paced class will equip players with techniques for creating original comedic scenes and characters, Players will gain confidence and widely applicable theatrical skill by practicing sequenced theater games and improvisations.

FIBER AND FABRIC
RUG WEAVING with Studio Time
Instructor: Nancy Sharples
Prerequisite: experience with threading a loom required.
Weave a sample warp on a four harness loom to learn to weave several types of weft-faced rugs techniques. Conquer krokbragd,
understand how block weaves and double faced structures work. Students will each warp and weave a small rug sampler on one threading and then switch to a different loom to weave additional samples for a variety of bound weave rugs. You must know how to wind a warp and thread a loom to register for this class.
Cotton warp and rug wool weft yarns will be available for this project. A materials fee of $15. will be collected in class. Please bring a good pair of scissors to each class.
Classes are Wednesdays 1pm - 3pm. Jan 11,18, 25, Feb 1, 15, 22 (No class Wednesday February 8)
The studio is open Tuesdays - Thursday 10am - 3pm. Begins Wednesday Jan 11 and closes Feb 23.
