Mandalas invite meditation, contemplation, and pleasure, both in the creation and in the observation. Given their inherent nature, mandalas can evoke spiritual and healing energies. I begin my drawings with an idea in mind, or I start with an entirely blank mind and paper and allow a mandala to flow from the creative impulse of the moment.
My mandalas are drawn entirely freehand, using only my eye for placement and symmetry, and with no use of tools, compass, or ruler. My mandalas are hand-drawn with pen, black ink, and color sketch markers.
I also create custom mandalas, incorporating specific symbols or colors requested by a client. The largest mandala I have created measures 24 inches. My art can be found in offices of health care providers, alternative health practitioners, and private collections.
My residence and studio are in Washington County, New York.
