My Summer Vacation

 
Artist Statement:

I have a passion for painting. Color, composition and texture are of utmost importance to me when approaching a painting. Each work is a new experience, and often experimental, working outdoors alla prima. The surface of the painting is as important as the image. This body of work was created in outdoors to recreate the sensation of existing in the landscape.

Artist Bio:

Philip J Palmieri has been painting with oil over the past several years. Although not formally trained, he has studied under a host of artists in Minneapolis, Dallas and Austin, Texas. For several years, he had studied with Marta Jaremko at the Artist Studio in Delmar. He has participated in en plein air and figurative painting and print making seminars in Tuscany and Provincetown, MA. He has shown his work in numerous local, regional and national group exhibitions. Several of his oil paintings are in private collections.

He currently works as a physician in Albany, NY specializing in Infectious Diseases.

Phil Palmieri’s exhibit will be open for in-person viewing at Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library through November 2nd at 475 Moe Rd, Clifton Park, NY, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-5pm, Tuesday and Thursday, 11am-7pm and Saturday, 11am-3pm
