My Summer Vacation
I have a passion for painting. Color, composition and texture are of utmost importance to me when approaching a painting. Each work is a new experience, and often experimental, working outdoors alla prima. The surface of the painting is as important as the image. This body of work was created in outdoors to recreate the sensation of existing in the landscape.
Philip J Palmieri has been painting with oil over the past several years. Although not formally trained, he has studied under a host of artists in Minneapolis, Dallas and Austin, Texas.
