ONLINE SUMMER CAMP

Announcing online opportunities for kids to engage in the arts this summer!

Due to the pandemic, 2020 Summer Camp will be offered online. Hour-long sessions will be available for kids interested in visual art – please refer to the table below (coming soon) for dates and times. For our theater program. kids can sign up by the week for morning classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays or weekly afternoon sessions (geared towards older, more advanced students). Saratoga Arts will again collaborate with Northshire Bookstore for a session of Pageturners which will feature five books. Each book will have a lesson and online author visit. We’re also excited to introduce Creative Writing, with weekly meetings (for four weeks each) available for young writers.

We at Saratoga Arts are also thrilled to announce the Art Activity Book. This book is filled with lessons created by our talented group of teachers! Activities are tailored for kids ages 5-12 and can be done with minimal supplies.

Participating families: join us each Friday at 3pm for Show and Tell! Campers can show their artwork, visit with new friends and teachers, or share a memory. Teachers will discuss their highlights for the week, too. A link will be sent to all campers registered for that week.

We want to display your child’s work! Email images of their art to aforman@saratoga-arts.org for display in our online gallery. Please include the child’s first name, age, medium, and title (if there is one). View the works created by these talented kids HERE.

Introducing the Online Kids Creative Writing workshop! Would you like to see your child feverishly writing for FUN without realizing the work they are actually doing? Writing frequently can help children develop their literacy skills across all subjects. As they gain confidence and develop a passion for writing, their skills will improve tremendously! This course is designed to explore multiple forms of writing such as poetry, storytelling, reviews, nonfiction, comic books and more! We will delve into the writing process by enhancing our brainstorming strategies, writing from the heart, developing language and sentence structure, and finally, publishing our work in creative ways. Your child will discover new ways to express themselves and hone their craft, all while having fun! Recommended for ages 7-10.
