Summer Break Camp: June 27 – September 2

Saratoga Arts is seeking a Youth Camp Coordinator for its camp programs. This position is part-time and is available immediately through September 2, 2022. Successful candidates must be at least 18 years of age and successfully pass a background check. This position will work in complement to our Education Coordinator to ensure that the experience of students, teachers and registrants is excellent throughout their summer with Saratoga Arts.

There will be an orientation prior to the start of camp that the coordinator, all teachers, and teacher assistants will be required to attend.

The Youth Camp Coordinator will have a schedule of 20-24 hours a week. Work hours will occur between 8AM – 5PM, Monday through Friday, with no more than 8 hours per shift.


  • Oversee Teaching Assistants and Lead Teachers and support them in daily duties.
  • Source, organize, and maintain all student paperwork, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Resolving behavior, medical, and other situations in conjunction with teaching staff. Contacting families of students involved and escalating serious issues to senior staff.
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and well-stocked classroom spaces.
  • Preparing rosters and other materials in advance of incoming classes. This includes preparing curriculum-specific supplies and classroom setup between camp sessions.
  • Provide administrative support to teaching staff and registrants.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.


  • Educational and/or arts administration experience
  • Patient and reliable
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Strong level of competence working with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to learn an existing CRM program
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.


$15.00-18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience

Teachers must be certified to teach in NYS (or currently be active on the BOCES substitute teacher registry), have a passion for the arts and experience working with children between the ages of 5-14.
