Creative Journaling: Sketchbook Journey for Women

Teacher: Mary Jo Bradley

Course Summary:

Reconnect with your creativity, slow down, and make time for yourself in this welcoming 12-week creative journaling course. Through art, writing, and reflection, students will create a personalized journal that becomes a space for self-expression, inspiration, and creative exploration.

Each week introduces a new theme and creative prompt designed to spark curiosity and encourage experimentation. Using watercolor, colored pencil, markers, collage, pen, and mixed-media techniques, participants will explore playful mark-making, expressive drawing, visual storytelling, and reflective writing. There is no "right way" to keep an art journal—this course celebrates curiosity, process, and finding joy in creating.

Whether you're an experienced artist or have never considered yourself creative, you'll discover that an art journal is a place to experiment, reflect, and grow without the pressure of creating perfect artwork.
