The 120˚ Intercollegiate Regional is an annual juried art exhibition that rotates between Saratoga Arts, LARAC’s Lapham Gallery, and The Arts Center of the Capital Region. Students attending an accredited college or university located within 120 mile radius of Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls, or Troy, NY are eligible to apply. This exhibition highlights the talents of collegiate artists in the region.

Submission deadline: Saturday, February 21st, 2026 by 11:59 PM

Drop Off Dates:  Thursday, March 5th 3:00 pm-7:00 pm, Friday, March 6th 10:00 am-4:00 pm or Sunday, March 8th 10:00 am-2:00 pm

Show Dates: March 14th through April 4th, 2026

Opening Reception: Friday March 13th, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm 

Artists will be notified of acceptance by Saturday, February 28th


Pick Up: Monday, April 6th 10:00 am-4:00 pm, or Tuesday, April 7th 3:00 pm-7:00 pm

Mariah Kitner, Director and co-Founder of Context Collective in Troy, NY

Mariah Kitner is a Troy, New York–based ceramic artist and curator. She is the director and co-founder of Context Collective, a gallery and community arts space that centers intentional exhibitions, workshops, and collaborative programming. Her studio practice bridges functional and sculptural ceramics, drawing on historical references, architecture, surrealism and material storytelling to explore how meaning shifts through context. Mariah has curated and juried exhibitions throughout the Capital Region and New York City, and works closely with artists to develop thoughtful, accessible presentations of their work. She holds a BFA in Painting with a minor in Art History from Pace University.

Eligibility:

Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited College or University. Students graduating in May or December 2026 are still eligible to apply. The student’s College or University must be located within 120 miles of Saratoga Springs, Troy or Glens Falls, NY. Students will need to provide the name of a faculty member at their institution as reference.

What mediums are acceptable?

There is no restriction as to what mediums can be used. Entries may be 2D or 3D and all forms of multimedia, video, painting, photography, sculpture, etc. are welcome. All video artwork that is accepted must have proper equipment supplied by the artist. Entries must represent original works of art.

How many pieces can I submit? Artists may submit up to 6 pieces for consideration.

Entry Fees:

There is a $5.00 fee per piece submitted. Entry fees are non-refundable, and will be paid at the end of your application submission.

(There is a 6-piece limit with a fee of $5 per piece. (i.e., 1 piece = $5, 3 pieces = $15, etc.)

What do I need to do prior to drop off?

Accepted artwork must be labeled, on the backside of the piece, with artist’s name and artwork title. All 2D work must be ready to hang with framing and hanging wire on the back. For works on canvas a hanging wire on the back is acceptable. Please no saw-tooth hanger or single triangle brackets.

What is the process for submitting?

Go to the Saratoga Arts website to complete the application form. In the form you will have to include:

  • Your name, College/University, Professor, Current Year, Anticipated Graduation Year
  • JPEG images of all artwork submissions. JPEG files should be named LastName_FirstName_ArtworkTitle_SubmissionNumber (ex. Smith_Jane_Sunset_1)
  • Artwork caption information: Artwork Title, Year Made, Medium, Dimensions, Price (or NFS if not for sale)
  • Submit payment by card at the end of application
  • If accepted into the show, what's next?

  • If your work is accepted, you will be notified by email.
  • All work must arrive ready to install. Works no gallery-ready, or deemed not fit to hang, may be omitted from the exhibit.
  • Accepted works that differ significantly from the entry image will be disqualified.
  • Works may be hand delivered or shipped. Shipped works must be sent in a reusable container/packaging with the return shipping prepaid.
  • All shipped works must arrive by Monday, March 9th.
  • Accepted works will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.
  • Works must be picked up on Monday, April 6th 10:00 am-4:00 pm, or Tuesday, April 7th 3:00-7:00 pm

Insurance:

Although Saratoga Arts takes the utmost care with artist’s work, we cannot be held responsible for theft, loss, or damage to any of the works on display. It is the responsibility of the artist, to carry insurance that covers the artwork exhibited if desired. A waiver in recognition of this policy, as well as the granting of Saratoga Arts to use any photographic or video documentation of the exhibition for publicity purposes, must be signed at the time of drop off.

Sale of Works:

All works, unless indicated NFS (Not For Sale), will be for sale. Saratoga Arts retains a 40% commission on all sales. Saratoga Arts is responsible for distributing checks to artists.
