Returning to Bethesda this July, Excelsior travels the scope of English Choral Music across the centuries. Herbert Howells stirring Requiem and the sublime William Byrd Mass for Five Voices are contrasted with the powerful Five Spirituals from A Child of Our Time by Michael Tippett and selections from Gustav Holst’s charming Choral Folk Songs. With special guest organist Derek Stannard, don’t miss this intimate, high caliber performance in a beautiful space.
