INTRO TO IMPROV- THE ART OF PLAY: Olivia Walton
Intro to Improv course is intended to create a foundation of what improv theater is and focuses on the areas of learning that will allow you to grow into a successful improvisor. The key themes of the class will be based on Trust, Focus, and Expectations. Students will explore, play, commit and find new ways of thinking through a variety of exercises and games. Games are intended to be fun and energized while also giving folks space to take risks with low stakes. Mow a magical lawn, eat the pumpkin ice cream, go spelunking in a well. Students will not be expected to immediately jump into scene work, but they will absolutely start getting their feet wet!
Class is intended for ages 15 to 95.
