Uncommon Grounds - Clifton Park

9 Clifton Country Rd, Clifton Park, NY 12065

August 30th - September 28th, 2022

 Artist Statement:

Spontaneity and unpredictability of color and texture are the hallmarks that push my work into abstraction. Color combinations were honed during years as a fashion designer in the sixties. I am interested in joining my textile rich past into artwork creating unique “abstracted inspired landscapes”. My paintings reflect the natural world and its constant changes. The landscapes suggest a touch of realism, reflecting a response to shifts in seasons, movement, light, time and weather which are the pulse of my art.

Each painting is layered representing a moment that caught my sense of feeling. When I selected paintings for the Uncommon Grounds venue I chose work that can be effectively viewed at a glance and from a distance, but closer observation will reveal the more complex details in the layers.
