Ronda Anderson
Photography has motivated Ronda Anderson to discern her environment and self-explore since the late 1970s. Among her many areas of photographic interest, her appreciation and admiration for theater, specifically Proctor’s Theater in Schenectady, New York, opened a new world of possibilities when she began volunteering there as an usher. She started photographing the theater in the early 1980’s and continued with a more intense focus.
Ronda’s unique focus and imagination has allowed her to create a wide array of photographs which will draw you into her visual reality and provide you with glimpses of the theater which were all around you but hidden from the everyday eye.
As stated by a newspaper art critic, “Her images are linked together not by subject, but through approach. To each work she brings a common mood of underlying intensity which is only barely camouflaged by the seemingly calm settings.”
Ronda Anderson is an insurance professional and is self-employed as a Workers’ Compensation consultant.
