Artist Statement

Louis studied Art in the CUNY system receiving his degree in 1985 in Art and Communications. His studies included all forms Art production including Film and Video as well. His interest in Painting stems from inspiration of years of admiring other works of Artist from the Renaissance to the Impressionists to the Modern Art movement. Most of these works seen in this exhibit have been done in just the last few years. Lou’s interests include most forms of Art; Charcoal drawing, Oil painting, Watercolor painting, pastels, also forms of sculpture.

So, what I would like to achieve through my art in the future is to find subjects and subject matter that my audience will appreciate. My love of art stems from a deep appreciation of my love for all things. What I would like to achieve through my art is a lasting legacy that I can leave for my descendants as well as my friends and all people who love art.

What I am trying to achieve through my art is to create new and unique subjects to amaze the senses of my audience and enrich life through my art.

Yours Truly,

Louis Tuminello
