Artist Statement:

The most underappreciated aspect of life in Saratoga Springs, New York, may be its trees. For the five years that I have now lived in Saratoga, the city’s trees have captivated me and I have sought to portray their beauty in my work. What’s more is that there is quite a fascinating history to the trees of Saratoga and each and every tree was planted with intention. No tree simply happens to be there. Look for my photo book, Toga Trees, where I will write about our trees’ history and urban forestry of Saratoga Springs. You can follow me on Instagram @sliceoflife_photos or on Facebook at Jenn March Photography for updates on its publishing.
