Jacqueline Gutierrez is a freelance illustrator and surface pattern designer living in Saratoga County, New York. Her illustrations are inspired by the beauty of nature, science, local flora and fauna, her love of cooking, and her desire to help protect the environment. She enjoys using a combination of watercolors, watercolor pencils, and digital illustration to create her designs for surface patterns, recipes, children’s books, and coloring books. She loves using vibrant colors in her art. She wrote and illustrated the Mineral Springs of Saratoga Springs and Ballston Spa Coloring Book, the Butterfly Garden Coloring Book, and What Happened to My Strawberry Yogurt? and illustrated Little Feet by Cara Viglucci. Twelve pictures of the mineral springs that she illustrated for the coloring book were on display at the Saratoga Springs Visitor Center in May 2019 as part of the Art in Public Places program run by Saratoga Arts.
Her current Art in Public Places exhibit (February – March 2021) features several of her beautiful watercolor flowers, illustrated quotes, and greeting card designs. To see Jacqueline’s latest art, follow her on Instagram @jackieartanddesign. She welcomes commissions.
