Glen has always loved dogs and especially enjoyed the antics of his two Border Collies, Ben and Prancer.

Glen attended the University of Wisconsin and received a BS degree in Art. He has transitioned from creating representational forms of dogs to more whimsical expressions of pets' personalities. His studio developed over the years and he now sells through galleries or at Art Fairs. Cool cats and "Glenware" functional items now are part of his inventory. Bright colors and whimsical designs are Glen's specialty. We hope you enjoy Happy Dogs Ceramics products and that they make you smile.

Dog Sculptures are made from earthenware clay extruded through tubes and formed into shapes. Cool cats are either made in a similar fashion or with the use of a slab roller. All pottery is hand thrown on a potter's wheel. Each piece is fired twice in a kiln, once to a bisque temperature and then to a glaze temperature. Lead free underglazes are painted on the bisque ware, a clear glaze is applied, and the piece is completed.
