Artist Statement

Born and raised in Upstate NY, I reconnected with photography in 2012 after a hiatus. Soon, I was drawn to the whirlwind of events like the New York Comic Con, where I discovered my love for candid shots in chaotic surroundings. The challenge of swiftly spotting and capturing fleeting moments, combined with the allure of immortalizing a split second, resonated with me.

My admiration for street photography grew as I spent time learning from and being inspired by photographers I met. NYC, with its memories of frequent visits to relatives and day trips, became my primary canvas. Street photography lets me highlight the overlooked beauty in daily life, encouraging viewers to be more present. It's a reminder to pause, look up from our screens, and appreciate our surroundings. As I've evolved, my ability to discern intricate moments and capture them instantaneously has sharpened. In this hustle, often, mere seconds separate a captured memory from a lost moment.
