Artist Statement

This show is dedicated

to my late wife Teresa Mulkeen Finley, who made all things possible, and to my children, who are the wind beneath my wings.

I thank the Clifton Park- Half Moon Library and Saratoga Arts for this exhibition.

A while back I attended the High School of Music and Art in New York City and studied at the Art Students League of New York. More recently after attending local art classes and with the encouragement of my children, I took up painting again.

Since then, I have exhibited at the Scotia-Glenville, the Niskayuna and the Saratoga Springs Senior Centers, and at the Saratoga Arts Council.

Much of this exhibit consist of collages done during the 1960s. I hope they are evocative of that unique time, and yet are as mysterious surprising as any work of art ought to be.

I hope the pleasure and excitement I felt in making these works will be shared by the viewer.
