Saratoga Arts routinely offers courses from drawing and painting to fiber arts and printmaking. We are looking to YOUR expertise to help us grow our educational offerings for adults, teens and kids!
Furthermore, Saratoga Arts is looking to expand into offering Language Arts, such as creative writing, poetry, storytelling, and spoken word. If you or someone you know would be interested in teaching with us please register today!
How we approach delivery:
Students ages 6-9 can join us for a half-day camp. Students will learn arts basics in different mediums and history of art around the world creating up unique projects each session.
Class size is limited.
WEEKLY SESSION: $155 MEMBERS/$170 NON-MEMBERS
For our slightly older students we have a full day camp to explore art in depth. Students explore basics of new techniques so they can take on advanced arts concepts with confidence.
During this April Break week, we will specifically work in two directions:

Serious Young Artists - Session 3
Session 3: Introduction to Printmaking and Collage (2 weeks)
This two-week course will utilize our brand-new printmaking studio, with a tabletop etching press, to immerse students in the magic of multiples.
Learn the basics of several printmaking techniques, while keeping an eye on art history and developing your visual language with collage. Students will learn drypoint etching, relief block printing, and multi-layered monotypes.

Serious Young Artists - Session 4
Session 4: Experiments in Cartoon and Stop-Motion Animation (2 weeks)
Ever wanted to make your creations move? From layering drawings to sculpting with clay and cut paper, creating stop-motion animations never seemed so doable.
In this two-week program, students will learn to create content, all building toward a screening of their animations in our black-box theater at the Arts Center.

AUGUST 14- 18
Digital Media Exploration (Two-Week Program)
Introduction to digital photography, digital drawing, animation and graphic design through use of digital devices, free apps and color printing.
*Requirements: Artists must have and bring their own digital device (cell phone or tablet) with camera capabilities and the device's charger to camp each day. A list of free apps to download ahead of camp will be provided at enrollment.
