Internships


Internship in Education/Programming at Saratoga Arts
Saratoga Arts offers student interns practical experience as well as an opportunity to gain general knowledge and a broad understanding of the day-to-day operations in a busy not-for-profit arts center. Education/Programming Interns will work closely with the Education Director and assist in and/or be responsible for: 1. The creation of exhibition specific gallery guides 2. Developing new media and organizational contacts 3. Organizing and maintaining class/workshop schedules 4. The evaluation of current Saratoga Arts class and workshop offerings 5. Maintaining and updating appropriate pages on Saratoga Arts' website 6. Updating and editing database listings 7. Organizing and recording class registrations 8. General administrative duties as assigned by Saratoga Arts staff. Interns will also conduct research on relevant program and professional development ideas.  Student interns must be be reliable, motivated and able to work independently. For credit and not for credit internships are available for the spring, summer, and fall semesters. Exhibition and Gallery Management Intern

This internship offers students the opportunity to receive practical training in gallery and artist management, curatorial practices and exhibit installations, as well as art administration.  Interns will have the opportunity to work on design, marketing and research based projects that meet the needs of both the individual and Saratoga Arts.  This internship will provide an environment where interns can expand upon their knowledge and skills in gallery management and arts administration.   Exhibition interns will work closely with the Director of Exhibitions.

 

Student interns must be reliable, motivated and able to work independently. For credit and not for credit internships are available for the spring, summer, and fall semesters.
