2012 Arts-in-Education / Local Capacity Building Grant

Saratoga Arts is committed to encouraging greater use of artist residencies within the school districts of Saratoga & Washington Counties.  To achieve this goal, the we established the Arts-In-Education Initiative Grant in 1991.  With a small amount of seed money, over a 10-year period the program distributed more than $38,000 to schools in Saratoga County to support exciting artist residencies.

Beginning with the 2001-02 school year, Saratoga Arts was appointed by NYSCA to administer their AIE/LCB regrant program, which sponsors innovative artist residencies in elementary, middle and high schools throughout Saratoga and Washington Counties, furthering both the arts and non-arts curiculum and utilizing a co-teaching model. Schools may apply annually for artist residency grants.  Since 2001 we have regranted over $152,000 for Arts in Education projects!
