CALL for SLIDE SUBMISSIONS:

We have two opportunities for member and non-member artists to exhibit in the Arts Center Gallery: a Juried exhibition in August, and a Members-Only group exhibition in December. . Prospectuses for these exhibitions are sent out to our member artists as the exhibit date approaches . Non-member artists may request a prospectus for these special exhibitions by calling (518) 584-4132 or by downloading a form from this website. These two group exhibitions are NOT part of the annual Gallery Review Process. You do NOT have to submit images to be considered for the August or December shows in The Arts Center Gallery.

SARATOGA INSIDE - OUT
June 14 - July 26, 2008
Annual juried Summer Exhibition
Each artist may submit one piece to be juried from life.
There is a $5 entry fee to help offset printing costs.
*The theme of the exhibition is to take an image, icon, place or idea of Saratoga County and subvert it to explore/subvert/challenge its meaning.

Annual members-only exhibition. NON - JURIED
Each member artist may submit one piece and include their resume/artist statement in our exhibitions book.
2008 exhibition guidelines will be posted shortly.
  
ART IN PUBLIC PLACES
The Art in Pulic Places program is open to Arts Council Members only. For a list of participating venues and for guideline information click here. GALLERY SHOP
Member artists may display work for sale in our Gallery Shop. We have periodic calls for submissions, which are mailed to our member artists and publicized in our monthly NEWSLETTER. Contact Sandra Natale for more information at 584-4132 x 201 or email snatale@saratoga-arts.org.

Additional Opportunities for all Visual Artists:

The First Saturday program is open to member and non-member artists. Participating businesses in downtown Saratoga Springs display work by various artists for a one-month duration. Artists are expected to be present for the opening receptions on the 1st Saturday of the month, from 5 - 8 PM. For a list of participating businesses, contact the Arts Council at 584-4132, x202 or email lollman@saratoga-arts.org. For this program, businesses choose the exhibiting artists and each has their own regulations and guidelines. SCAC publicizes and coordinates the exhibitions.
ART IN THE PARK 2008
Visual artists may also participate in our annual Art in the Park events. These events take place Saturday, July 12 and Tuesday, August 19 from 10am-4pm. 

Finally, we are organizing a small outdoor exhibition and sale as part of the Caroline Street Arts and Blues Fest in downtown  Saratoga Springs.  The event occurs Sunday, June 1, 2008, from 1 - 7pm.
