Introduction to the Business of Modeling
with James Pentaudi
Saturdays, from 1pm-3:30pm, January 24, 31, February 7 and 28
FREE Introductory Sessions: January 20 and 21 at 7pm
This four-session workshop will provide information about the world of modeling, agencies, managers, international placement, modeling jobs, talent work (singing, acting and voice-overs) and for young models, the role of the parent. Students will learn propper runway walk, turns, rehearsals and fittings, how to move in front of the camera, portfolios and what to look for when you put together a modeling composite. A full detailed description will be sent onrequest.
Workshop fee: $70 Members/ $75 Non-Members

Sketching Tour for Children
Saturday, February 28, from 9am-1pm, With Anne Butler Baldwin
The Arts Center invites kids ages 9-12 to join us for a one-day sketching tour of Saratoga Springs. Founder of the highly successful Sketching Tours of Nantucket, Anne will guide Young Artists in exercises to capture particular moments in time and space: a doorway, a bouquet of flowers, a window view. There will be a break for a sack lunch from home. A simple materials list will be sent on registration.
Workshop Fee: $30 Members/ $35 Non-Members

Larry Kassan and the Rod Serling Video Festival
Monday, January 26, at 7pm
Join us in welcoming back Larry Kassan, Coordinator of the Rod Serling Video Festival! You will once again be amazed by the variety and quality of work done by students K-12 from around the State! This is a FREE event which is open to the community. Please join us and see what can be done with a vision and a video camera. Get your questions answered as you prepare your video entry. Find out more about the Video-In-Production Group for Grades 7-12, to be held in the Spring. Course participants are encouraged to enter the Road Serling Video Competition.

February Fun: Vacation Program for kids ages 7-11 years.
Dates: Monday through Friday, February 16-20, from 10am-2:30pm
While school is out, kids can join us for wintertime art workshops at The Arts Center! Two or three geat classes everyday with a break for a sack lunch from home! Pre-registration is required.
Per-day fee: $30 Members/ $35 Non-Members
All Week fee: $120 Members/ $130 Non-Members

Comedy Kids Central
Tuesdays, 4pm-6pm, February 3, 10, 24, March 2, 9, 16
With Ms. Kathryn Mora
If you've ever pictured yourself on stage or at family outings making people laugh with your quick witty comebacks or have felt petrified even thinking about standing in front of people, but like to have fun, you need to join this group! You'll learn the secrtes of making people laugh, how to be funnier, wittier and more confident. You'll learn to relax and believe in yourself. The Comedy Kids Central will develop stand-up routines, group skits and perform improv using the material inside of you from everyday life.
Workshop Fee: $65 Members/ $70 Non-Members

Birthday Parties at The Arts Center!
What a Great Idea!
Set young imaginations free in a session with a talented performer or visual artist followed by refreshments, games and fun!

We provide sessions in Painting, Drawing, Pastels, Circus Arts & Juggling, Ceramics, Movement & Dance, Theatre Games, Music & Percussion, Crafts, and even Finger Painting for the youngest artists!

Price per child:$10 ($100 minimum for party) includes a one-hour session with the artist of your choice, followed by Birthday Cake & refreshments which you have provided. We will then set up a table for the young revelers so they can make something for the Birthday Boy or Girl to take home!

The Arts Center will provide balloons, blowers & decorations. Call 584-4132 to discuss your Birthday Party at The Arts Center!
