With Corey Pitkin
The practice of drawing the nude model from life has been a cornerstone of artistic development for centuries. Join artist and instructor Corey Pitkin as he peels back the mystique of this scholarly tradition. Using the media of your
choice students will be guided through the process of developing a composition, capturing the gesture, determining proportions, and describing the underlying structure and anatomy from a live nude model. After a morning demonstration students will be given one-on-one guidance to bring their artwork to a finish. Students are encouraged to work in whatever medium they feel most comfortable. A suggested supply list for those who would like to draw would be: drawing paper (white or color : Strathmore or Canson), vine charcoal, charcoal pencils, compressed charcoal, pencil sharpener, kneaded eraser, masking tape, and white pastel pencil if using colored paper.
