In this workshop, students will learn how to use their digital camera to make quality photographs for documentation, press releases, jury submissions, and print editions of your work. Topics will include setting up artwork for photography, low cost lighting options, basic camera adjustments, editing the image for accuracy, and more. This workshop comes at a perfect time as our 2020 Call for Submissions for the Arts Center Gallery closes on May 15. Students should bring a camera and user manual and furthermore be familiar with its operation. “Point and shoot” and cell phone cameras can be made to work with some effort, but a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) or high end mirrorless camera is best. A demonstration with artwork and affordable lighting will be provided.
