Winter 2019 - Parts I&II: Framing Artwork on a Budget: 2 Days Hands on Workshop

with Jennifer Duke Anstey

This workshop begins with Framing Artwork on a Budget: Introduction (included in course fee) and follows with hands on workshops in which students will leave with a framed piece of artwork. Students will stay after "Framing Artwork on a Budget: Introduction" and will choose frames and matts for their artwork in a critique like setting with advice from the instructor based on their final goals for the piece. They will also have an opportunity to practice all phases of the framing process. Students will return for the second day of the workshop and will put their new skills to work and complete the framing of their artwork. This course is designed with two weeks in between to allowed for the ordering of students' customized materials to frame their work. A materials fee of $5 for practice materials is due to the instructor. Additional charges based on the matt/mounting, frame style and glass or plexi that the student chooses, will then be charged at the instructors wholesale cost. Students can choose an option that best reflects their budget needs. All other necessary supplies will be provided. Students should bring the piece of art they wish to frame to both days of the workshop so that proper measurements may be taken. *Please note that this workshop will take place off-site and not at Saratoga Arts*
