with Harry Wirtz
The first day of this workshop will be spent exploring your camera's adjustments and controls to work with light, subject matter, and time: focus, aperture, shutter, ISO settings, and auto exposure aperture or shutter priority modes. Day one will end with putting into practice what has been covered and taking photographs in Congress Park. Day Two will be spent reviewing your photos and then seeing how basic photo editing software techniques can refine those images. Other topics include color balance, light control accessories (including on -and off- camera flash), image file formats, and optimizing images for print and web publication. Students should bring their camera and corresponding instruction manual.
