Spring 2018 - Photographing Artwork for Submission & Archiving: Tools for the Artist - CANCELLED

with Harry Wirtz

This workshop will show you how to use your digital camera to make quality photographs for documentation, press releases, jury submissions, and print editions of your work. Topics will include setting up artwork for photography, low cost lighting options, basic camera adjustments, editing the image for accuracy, and more. Bring a camera and user manual: be familiar with its operation. "Point and shoot" and cell phone cameras can be made to work with some effort. but a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) or a high-end mirrorless camera would be best. A demonstration with artwork and affordable lighting will be provided.

Students will be given a short break for lunch and can bring their lunch or visit one of Saratoga’s many popular lunch spots.

Saturday, May 5, 2018: 10am - 2:30pm
$40 for members / $45 for not-yet-members
